Citizens respond positively to Fundación LAB Mediterráneo’s initiative

Castellón, 26 de mayo de 2023.- Fundación LAB Mediterráneo, a project promoted by the Valencian Business Association (AVE), describes it like a success for the citizens’ response to the Big Urn initiative, which urged society to answer anonymously the big question: What is your vision of the future of the Valencian Community, giving the possibility to do so digitally at fundacionlab.es.

València, Alicante, and Castellón have been visited by the Great Urn, which symbolizes the importance of the Valencian Community having a strategy and a direction to position itself as a national and European reference in terms of entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, and research, “society has shown that it has a very broad vision of the Valencian Community and that it is committed to the 4 areas that the Foundation defends: entrepreneurship, innovation, technology and research”, according to the secretary of Fundación LAB Mediterráneo Diego Lorente.

In this sense, Lorente explains that this initiative pursues two strategic objectives, on the one hand, to raise awareness in society to contribute their vision for the future of the Comunitat, and on the other hand, to urge political forces to develop medium and long term actions over partisan interests.

To conclude, Lorente thanked the citizens for their support and participation over these three days and announced that the responses obtained will serve as a starting point for new initiatives and challenges for the Foundation.

On this last day of the campaign, different representatives of both large companies in the Comunitat and civil society attended, such as Jesús Asensi (Helados Estiu), José Luis Boix and Mónica Boix (Xiop Grup), Santiago Bretón (UBE), Antonio Cardona (Nunsys), Anna Chiva (CaixaBank), Jesús Dolz (Industrias Dolz), Héctor Dominguis (GDES), Ana Gutiérrez (Grupo Gimeno), Raúl Martín (Familia Martínez/KM ZERO), Ana Ortega (Grupo Pamesa), Enrique Rakez (CaixaBank), Enrique Soto (Fundación LAB Mediterráneo), Javier Valls (Chamber of Commerce), Paco Vea (Simetría Grupo) and Justo Vellón (CEII Castellón).
